I haven’t written any blogs in a while because….well, I’ve been busy. I’ve been away. And honestly, with so much up in the air in terms of immigration and refugee law these days, what can I possibly say? I have no idea what Bill C-31 is going to actually be like once implemented, like on a day to day basis. The skilled worker/29 occupations category is closed for now, waiting for word from CIC what’s going to happen as of July 1, when the categories are expected to be opened. There has been nothing said about the federal investor program, so it is basically kaput.  All I can say at this point, is I have not disappeared, I have not forgotten about this blog. Just stay tuned. And here’s a picture for pure entertainment purposes: One of my daughters on our recent trip to Malta with a bunch of random tourists in the background.

From the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website:

“Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is proposing changes to the Federal Skilled Worker program to help Canada select immigrants who have the best chance of integrating and making a better contribution to the Canadian economy.

CIC is consulting with stakeholders and the public on the proposed changes. The input received through the consultation process will be taken into account in the development of new regulations. A summary of the results of this process will be published on our website in spring/summer 2011.  Only totals from each question will be reported (names, identifying information or organization details will not be included in the report).”

TO participate in the online questionnaire go to the CIC website.
